Documentation from the family trip to Romania · September 2015.
The synagogue The Târgu Mureș synagogue is a very impressive building. Dad said the family used to spend the holidays at the synagogue. The children (Tzipi, Haim and Dad) played in the synagogue’s front courtyard.
The synagogue still exists, is very well maintained and is active today on a fairly limited scale. We visited on Yom Kippur. There were very few worshippers, roughly a minyan. The atmosphere in the synagogue today felt quite secular.
